IIS Bertacchi Welcomes Students from Porto Santo and Lorca

for an Unforgettable Erasmus+ Mobility Week

From May 12 to 16, our school hosted an exciting Erasmus mobility, welcoming students and teachers from Porto Santo, Madeira, and Lorca, Spain.

While both groups came to discover Lecco and share their cultures, the exchange with the Spanish group from Lorca will continue next year when our students travel to their school.

The week began with lively ice-breaking activities like speed dating to help everyone get to know each other. We also attended presentations from the visiting schools to learn about their education systems, local traditions, and daily life.

To explore our territory, we organised a treasure hunt through Lecco and a full-day trip to Bergamo, where students discovered historical landmarks and enjoyed the city’s unique charm. We carried out a “Culture Clash” activity, where students acted out funny - sometimes tricky - intercultural situations and reflected on the challenges and opportunities of meeting different cultures.

It was a week full of energy, teamwork, and new friendships, showing once again how powerful and enriching international exchanges can be! 🌍❤️
